Usage and Advantages of Aloe Vera Powder.

  1. Aloe Vera's versatile nature and many beneficial properties makes it a valuable addition to most cosmetics and self-care products. Toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, hand sanitiser, skin salve, face scrub, and makeup are just a few of the most popular uses for Aloe Vera powder
  2. Aloe Vera powder can be completely reconstituted with warm water to have all properties and nutrients present in original Aloe Vera leaf.
  3. Aloe Vera Powder is a non-perishable commodity while fresh are perishable foods.
  4. Aloe Vera Powder can have a storage life of 2–4 years depending on the environment and stabilizing agents’ addition.
  5. Aloe Vera includes several necessary vitamins: A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12. Vitamins A, C, and E are antioxidants and help fend off free radicals which can contribute to cancer, heart disease and other illnesses.
  6. Aloe Vera is popular in natural health as a digestion aid.
  7. Aloe is chock full of antioxidants which promote a strong immune system and the polysaccharides also have anti-inflammatory qualities.
  8. Aloe’s ability to detoxify helps keep the immune system in check. The body has a much better chance at fighting off illness and infection if as many nutrients as possible can make their way into the bloodstream.
  9. Aloe Vera’s anti-inflammatory and analgesic qualities may be helpful in relieving muscle and tendon pain

Process Description

1. Aloe Vera Cleaning, Inspection and Blanching Machine

This is a conveyor machine immersed in water. The stem cut Aloe Vera Leaf floating due to buoyancy force and travels from one end to another end. During this treatment all muddy particles that cling to leaves are socked in water (with treatment solution) and removed. Aloe Vera Leaves are taken to another tank with the help of overhead trolleys, and are immersed in blanching treatment tanks. The solution used for Blanching and disinfection are with chemicals in PPM level.
Leaves are again washed in RO water before sending to top and bottom removal for getting gel.

2. Aloe Vera Gel Removal Machine

The blanched Aloe Vera Leaves are fed to a gel removal machine after properly cleaning. The Aloe Vera Leaves move forward on a conveyor to cutting knives. The machine is fitted with rollers to press leaves onto knives. This way up and down skin part of leaves is removed and only gel moves forward to grinding machine. In case of whole Aloe Vera powder this step is not performed and Aloe Vera Leaves ae directly sent for grinding and juicing.

3. Aloe Vera Gel Juice Filtration

Ground Aloe Vera juice is then pumped to disc filtration unit (Filtration rating is predetermined based on the product application) where the insoluble fibres are removed and clear juice is pumped to Aloe Vera Juice tank of thermal evaporator.

4. Thermal Evaporator

The plant is specifically designed for concentration of Aloe Vera Gel. It is a single effect evaporator plant. Aloe Vera Juice is received in a tank and pumped by the centrifugal pump into the preheater. Aloe Vera Juice after preheater is introduced at the top of Calandria which works on falling film principle. As the Aloe Vera Juice travels downward in the tubes it is heated by the heating medium (condensing vapours on the shell side). As the Aloe Vera Juice gets heated it reaches saturation boiling temperature inside the tubes quickly and then both vapours and liquid travel down. Due to the expanded volume of vapours the liquid is pushed to walls and travels down as annular thin film along with the wall. Vapours enter the external vapour separator through tangential entry. The vapours move up and the droplets move down in the vapour separator. The liquid collected at the bottom is pumped out as a product. Live steam is introduced on shell side of calandria as heating medium. Part of these vapours are used by PH as heating medium.

5. Aloe Vera Juice Preparation:

This is a simple process which involves mixing of various ingredients in a proper proportion by auto weighing system in case of special formulations. The large tanks with specially designed efficiently mixing and blending agitator arrangement are provided to mix the ingredients. The tanks are also provided with the heating arrangement so as to maintain proper temperature for producing right slurry formulation depending on the ingredients. The Aloe Vera Juice is homogenized in a specially designed high-pressure homogenizer.

6. Spray Drying:

The Aloe Vera Juice is then dried to powder form in a spray dryer. The Aloe Vera Juice is atomized to fine droplets in a large spray chamber. These atomized particles come in contact with hot air and water in it gets evaporated. The dried product is discharged at the bottom of chamber. The dried product entrained with the exhaust air is separated in a high efficiency cyclone separator. The exhaust air is further passed through a secondary cyclone separator or a bag house for recovering the fines not separated in primary cyclone. Clean air is then vented to the atmosphere. The entire operation of the plant is monitored and controlled through a locally mounted control panel or through PLC as per customer choice.

7. Storage and Packing:

Product is cooled and in a pneumatic conveying system or Screw Cooler and then passed on to packing machine hopper, where it is continuously packed.
