1 Storage of Raw Materials

Appropriate raw material storage is provided. Zinc Ash elevated storage silos are provided. Sulphuric acid, Water and other required chemical storage are provided in adequate quantity. It is tried to weigh and load all the chemicals automatically to reactor.


2. Digester / Reactor

Sulphuric acid with specified molarity is taken into digester. The Zinc ash is gradually loaded under constant agitation to neutralize the solution. The Zinc Ash fines reacts with dilute Sulphuric Acid to for crude Zinc Sulphate solution.
Zinc Sulphate solution is then filtered out to get clear solution. The clear solution is then reacted with several chemicals to remove Iron, Pb, and other metal impurities present in the solution. The fully pure solution is tested in lab and then sent for concentration.

Tested zinc sulphate solution is then sent to crystallizer where the zinc sulphate is crystallized with the help of Glycol Brine.
Crystallized Zinc sulphate is centrifuged to obtain Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate.

3. Spray Drying:

The Zinc Sulphate solution after concentration is dried to granular powder form in a spray dryer. The Zinc Sulphate solution is atomized to fine droplets in a large spray chamber. These atomized particles come in contact with hot air and water in it gets evaporated. The dried product is discharged at the bottom of chamber. The dried product entrained with the exhaust air is separated in a high efficiency cyclone separator. The exhaust air is further passed through a secondary cyclone separator or a bag house for recovering the fines not separated in primary cyclone. Clean air is then vented to the atmosphere. The entire operation of the plant is monitored and controlled through a locally mounted control panel or through PLC as per customer choice.

4. Storage and Packing:

Product is cooled and in a pneumatic conveying system or Screw Cooler and then passed on to packing machine hopper, where it is continuously packed.
